 Gavon Macky Dyer (born May 27, 1986, Manchester, Jamaica) also known has Gavin. The son of Juliet Smith Dyer and Dervon Dyer, Gavin had a love for music from an early age, performing for his family and friends while at home or play. He was raised in August Town where he studied Electrical Installation at Papine High School.

Arriving in Manchester in 2004, Gavin lived in New Forest, where he attended Heart Trust NTA to finish up his studies to become an Electrical Engineer and Computer Engineer. While living in Manchester Gavin created his own sound system by the name of Skyone Disco and a home Studio. He started to do his own voice recordings and voice editing.

Gavin gained more exposure when he started to get job offers to play out at local parties. After finishing his studies at Heart Trust NTA in 2007, he migrated back to Kingston where Gavin and his uncle started their own family business ‘Smart Tech’. He continued his music; he did recordings for Jordan Mais a former Rising Stars member. Gavin then linked up with his cousin Nikco Wayne Hinds a producer to further his music career, under the label name Muzic Yaad Enterprise.

 

Gavon released his first official single “love it when you touch me” on iTunes and Amazon music store under his own label name Skyone Production in late 2013. After his first official single, he has released several other songs under his own label name. His latest single is titled “up in the club” featuring upcoming artists such has D-Maze and Kingston Prince (KP) released in early 2015. He is currently working to complete his latest project titled “relationship”.
